Move. Breathe. Grow.

Serene Radiance Yoga's mission is to make yoga inclusive to all, with an emphasis on the underserved and underrepresented. There is space for everyone; no matter race, gender, socioeconomic background, religious affiliation, body type, or flexibility level. We use the practice of yoga to empower others with tools to cultivate a mindful life. By moving our bodies, deepening our breaths, and focusing our minds in meditation, we shed our layers to become our most authentic selves.

Honor who you were, celebrate who you are, and cultivate who you will be.

Classes are based in the branch of yoga called hatha. Hatha yoga is one of the oldest forms of yoga. It focuses on using proper alignment of yoga postures, along with breathing techniques and meditation in an effort to unite the mind, body, and soul. Classes are suitable for beginners and intermediates due to slower class pace, longer hold times in poses, and various levels of pose difficulty. Students are encouraged to make the practice their own without concerning themselves with the progress of other students. All classes are a judgement-free, safe space for students to explore and nurture themselves.

Yoga saved my life.

My name is Sabrina Ewell, and I am the founder of Serene Radiance Yoga. Yoga saved my life by shifting me out of survival mode and into thriving mode. I unexpectedly started my yoga journey in January 2015 when my sister noticed I was struggling and invited me to a kundalini yoga class. Although I didn't fully understand everything that occurred in class, I woke up a different person the next day. I felt as if a massive weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I eagerly wanted more of the bliss I was feeling and started attending weekly kundalini classes at the studio and practiced vinyasa/hatha classes at home. I became addicted to releasing thoughts/feelings that no longer served me. I watched my weight decrease as my awareness of self increased through my yoga practice. I wanted to share yoga with my community so they too could begin to strip away the unwanted layers of life that no longer served them. Only a year after starting my practice, I enrolled in yoga teacher training. In June 2016, I became RYT-200 certified in hatha. As I pondered what to call my yoga business, I went back to my desire to help others cultivate a peace within that was so vibrant, it effortlessly radiated out; hence the name Serene Radiance Yoga. I dedicate my free time to teaching weekly yoga classes geared towards beginners and intermediates, as well as facilitating private classes and specialty workshops.
